1) Surface Preparation: Supplied with your new dash kit is a special adhesive promoter for use with difficult curved areas. Also supplied are packets of quality alcohol wipes for proper cleaning. These are to be used on factory fresh vehicles only, not vehicles that have been treated with chemicals such as Armorall protectant, cleaners or other such products.

2) The 75/95 Rule: Only install your new Benevento dash kit at room temperatures between 75 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Check to be sure that the pieces in your kit are pliable and easy to work with and be sure that your vehicle temperature is in this range as well. For installation of pieces which require significant bending, heat the dash pieces an additional 10 degrees or until pliable enough to conform to the required mounting position. (Please note: If any piece is too cold, it may crack during installation, and if it its too hot, the material may stretch resulting in future cracking. This type of damage can only be caused by improper installation temperature and will void the product warranty.)

3) Adhesion: Benevento uses only the highest quality industry standard 4229 Adhesive backing material manufactured by 3M Corporation. All surfaces must be free of all oils (including oil from your hands), grease, cleaners, Armorall type products, etc. You can visit the 3M web site for tips and advice at www.3mautomotivetape.com.

4) The Dry Run: Be sure to dry-fit ALL pieces prior to installation. You can use masking tape to temporarily secure each piece in place prior to installation. Once you have inspected and placed all pieces in your new dash kit in their appropriate positions, simply peel the backing material off and gently press in place. If you need to re-position a piece, you must do so immediately as the longer it sits in place the harder it will be to remove. Lift the piece VERY GENTLY. DO NOT PULL AGRESSIVELY ! Gently pull the piece using steady upward pressure and the adhesive should slowly release it's grip. We cannot be responsible for damaged caused during installation.

5) Cleanup: After installation, clean the dash kit surfaces only with a soft cloth such as a cloth baby diaper or equivalent. The soft cotton weave will not scratch the kit surface like man-made fiber cloth can.

6) Maintenance: Never use chemicals or protectants such as Armorall or Nu-Vinyl on any Benevento products. We use the strongest adhesive available, however, if these products come in contact with the edges of the adhesive tape, the bonding may fail. Mild glass cleaners such as Windex or other similar cleaners can be used sparingly, however, be sure to apply the cleaner to a soft cloth and then gently wipe the area to be cleaned.

7) Warranty Period: The first 30 days following the installation are the most critical. This is the period when you need to inspect your new dash kit carefully for any defects in workmanship. If you notice any defects in materials, please contact us right away.
