PaceSetter Performance: Helping You Stay Ahead of the Herd
For almost as long as there have been cars on the road, there’ve been people tweaking with the exhaust to squeeze out every last bit of horsepower or to give their vehicle a nice tone to set it apart from all the others on the street. This is where PaceSetter has made a name for them- by creating exhaust systems and headers to give enthusiasts a way to increase their performance or get a burly exhaust note. However, as well known as they are for performance exhaust, PaceSetter has in their stable than exhaust tips, cat-back systems and headers. This Phoenix, Arizona based company provides a full line of bolt-on performance accessories that fit a variety of vehicles- foreign and American made. To get better idea of how Pace Setter can help you get the most from your machine keep reading!
Predator, TFX & Monza Performance Exhaust Systems
The Monza exhaust system is probably PaceSetter’s most popular product and there’s a good reason for it. Not only are these PaceSetter exhaust kits easy to install, they easily replace the stock exhaust in a variety of cars. Made from Mandrel bent, 16-gauge tubing and featuring aluminized steel for corrosion resistance, these exhaust kits attach to the catalytic converter (in most cases) and include a Monza resonated performance exhaust tip as well as installation instructions and hardware. The Monza performance exhaust system was designed to decrease back pressure by allowing exhaust to freely flow. Not only will it give your car increased performance but also smoother engine operation.
And don’t worry truck owners- Pace Setter didn’t leave you out. There are two PaceSetter exhaust kits for you- the TFX cat-back system and the Predator dual exhaust system. For an easy bolt-on, street legal horsepower boost go with the TFX cat back exhaust system. Since it bolts on after the catalytic converter, you get a nice increase in horsepower while meeting all DEQ and other restrictions. Everything you need comes with it, including a chrome-plated, stainless steel exhaust tip to add a little style to your ride’s newfound performance boost.
Want the look and sound of dual exhaust performance for your truck without replacing a lot of expensive parts? Then you want the Predator exhaust system. One the most innovative PaceSetter exhaust systems, the Predator is computer designed to fit the specs of your truck while delivery the throaty exhaust tone you desire and boosting performance through the oversize, mandrel bent, 16 gauge aluminized tubing and performance muffler. This dual exhaust system comes with all necessary mounting hardware and instructions. To make installation easy, the Predator exhaust system uses factory hangers and mounting points.
PaceSetter Exhaust Tips
Whether you like the simple style of Pace Setter’s stainless steel exhaust tips or the oversize style and tone of Monza exhaust tips, performance exhaust system or not, PaceSetter can help you give your ride the perfect finishing touch. From the monster, 5-inch diameter of the biggest Big Bore Monza exhaust tip to the throaty tone and style of their resonated exhaust tips, PaceSetter has a style that you can weld or clamp on to any ride. Since they’re made from stainless steel and are chromed at the Pace Setter-owned chroming facility you know they’ll come out flawless. For sweet, performance tone or style, go with a PaceSetter exhaust tip. You won’t be disappointed.
PaceSetter Headers
For a performance upgrade that will please your ears as much as your right foot check out PaceSetter Headers. PaceSetter has been in the header business since 1972 and continues to build headers at reasonable price for today’s full-size cars, trucks and SUV models as well sport compacts. Each PaceSetter header set features mandrel-bent tubing for smooth exhaust outflow as well extra-thick flanges to prevent leaks and warping. One innovation Pace Setter has added as on option for their headers is baked-on, ceramic-metal compound Armor Coat finish. Unlike paint or chrome, the silver Armor Coat can withstand temps up 2000 degrees Fahrenheit without discoloring or burning off. The result? A set of headers that won’t only look great and resist rust and corrosion for years to come but will also decrease the temperature under the hood. Whether you go with the tight space fitting Block Hugger headers, the daily driver design of QuikTrip long-tube style headers or any other header set they offer, Pace Setter can help you usher the exhaust away from your engine for nice punch of performance.
PaceSetter Air F/X Air Intakes
Why just upgrade your exhaust system when you can improve performance by upgrading your intake system as well? Exactly. For that reason Pace Setter created their line of Air F/X air induction systems. Cold air induction is an easy way to improve engine performance. Featuring a performance air filter attached to a mandrel-bent intake tube, the Air F/X air induction system replaces your factory intake tube and relocates the air filter to where it can shoot colder, denser air to your engine. Between increased air flow and more oxygen reaching your intake manifold, you’re engine will burn fuel more efficiently for a nice little increase in performance. Think cold air intakes and air induction systems are only for sport compacts? Think again. Pace Setter makes the F/X air intake system for truck and SUV models as well! For an easy to install way to improve your ride’s performance go with an Air F/X intake system from PaceSetter.
PaceSetter Quik Shift Short Shifters
What’s more fun than slamming through the gears with the speed and precision of a surgeon riding a major caffeine surge? For performance nuts gripping the stick of a manual transmission nothing is! If you’ve matriculated from that school of thought you’ll dig the Quik Shift short shifter from PaceSetter. Made from an uber-durable carbon-steel alloy, chromed for good looks and outfitted with polyurethane bushings for super-smooth shifting action, the Quik Shift short shifter decreases the throw between gears while reducing the height of the gear stick in your ride. All you’re left with is lightning quick shifting action that’ll help your tranny keep up with your lead foot. If all of that sounds appealing to you then toss out that factory shifter and slap quick-shifting action of the Quik Shift short shifter in its place.
For a company that cut its teeth making headers back in the 70’s, it amazing to see how well they have adapted to current performance trends. PaceSetter has a variety of performance exhaust components, such as flex joints and Hi-Flow catalytic converters as well as performance packages for the Mustang, Camaro and Corvette, so it really isn’t a surprise they have their finger on the pulse of the latest trends. If you want easy bolt-on performance for your truck, SUV or sport compact, PaceSetter can help you out.
