Featuring sturdy steel construction and long-lasting, durable powder coat finish, the Iron Horse rear bumper step is made to last as long as your truck or SUV. The telescopic design allows the bumper step to drop approximately 5-1/2 inches and easily retract up behind the rear bumper where it’s out of sight and won’t detract from your rig’s appearance. To keep the bumper step in the up position, a simple round spring catches a bar welded inside the channel of the step shaft. When you want to use it simply step down on the step plate and when done just kick it back up into place with your foot. The step surface measures roughly 7 inches wide and 6 inches long. For increased traction the step plate is slightly angled and has two, sandpaper-like grip strips. No drilling is required for installation- it attaches with the factory rear bumper hardware.
