This is the replacement interface cable that comes in the iPod Interface Kit for newer Toyota/Lexus models. This interface cable for iPod uses a proprietary 30-pin Apple iPod connector—via connection point in the glove compartment—to provide a direction connection from an iPod to the vehicle head unit, allowing the driver to control the iPod using either the steering pad or audio system controls. The glove compartment connection point keeps your iPod well concealed within vehicle to deter theft. Compatible with: iPod Mini, iPod 4th Generation, iPod 4th Generation (color display), iPod Nano 1st Generation, iPod 5th Generation (video), iPod Nano 2nd Generation (aluminum), iPod Classic, iPod Nano 3rd Generation (video) and iPod Touch.
