VHT Flameproof® Coating only attains its unique heat resistant properties after proper curing.

Preparation: Surface must be clean and free of all debris before applying any primer or paint. We recommend our StripFast® surface preparation and Flameproof® Primer products.

Drying Time: Curing time is required and can be done either on or off of the vehicle.

On the Vehicle:

Paint must be completely dry before beginning curing process.

Run engine at idle for 10 minutes.

Let engine cool for 20 minutes.

Run engine again at idle for 20 minutes.

Let cool for 20 minutes.

Run engine under normal operating conditions for 30 minutes.

Off the Vehicle:

Paint must be completely dry before beginning curing process.

Heat to 250�F (121�C) for 30 minutes.

Let cool for 30 minutes.

Heat to 400�F (204�C) for 30 minutes.

Let cool for 30 minutes.

Heat to 650�F (343�C) for 30 minutes.

Let cool for 30 minutes.

Warning: Do NOT exceed the temperature of the least heat tolerant component or of the base metal.

Clear Coat: We recommend our Flameproof® Clear product.

So what exactly is VHT Flameproof® Coating? Well it is a Very High Temperature paint coating that will withstand temperatures up to 2000�F (1093�C). That's right, this Flat Silver Flameproof® Coating is perfect for use on engine exhaust systems, headers, or wherever extreme temperatures are present. Designed to renew the finish and extend the life of any surface exposed to extremely high temperatures. Available here in a matte finish, this unique coating features a silicone ceramic base that is comonly used by automotive manufacturers as well as aircraft and marine manufacturers. VHT provides a complete high performance coating system that includes surface preparation, primer, paint and clearcoat for the ultimate in protection.
